Borislava Taneva

Professor Dr. Borislava Taneva is a vice rector, responsible for International and creative activities. Borislava Taneva is a pianist – performer, teacher, chamber musician, composer, organizer of musical events.

Her active role in contemporary cultural life not only in Bulgaria defines her as successful, broad-musician. She is a laureate of national and international competitions for piano, chamber music and composition in Bulgaria, Italy, Japan, Greece, Luxembourg. She is a Professor of piano at the National Academy of Music “Professor Pancho Vladigerov”.

In April of 2012, she was awarded with the educational and scientific degree “Doctor”.

She cooperates regularly with conservatories in Athens, Geneva, Thessaloniki, Madrid, Luxembourg, Singapore, Paris, where she led master classes and has exported musical seminars on various topics. She has been invited to jury in national and international competitions – Paris, Vienna, Luxembourg, Andros / Greece / Nis, Provadia and others. Her students have repeatedly honored with awards at international and national musical events and competitions.

She is a founder and member of the Swiss-Bulgarian Association for culture.

She is a winner of “Golden pen” (2014) for her outstanding contribution to Bulgarian culture and art. In 2015 she was awarded the radio Classic FM’s “Crystal Lyre” for overall contribution to Bulgarian culture and the prize “Musician of the year” for active creative work.
